Frequently Asked Questions

A CRCST is a Certified Registered Central Service Technician.

CRCSTs are responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, packaging, and distributing medical instruments, devices and/or supplies needed for surgical procedures.

Students are required to have a high school diploma to enroll in the CRCST training course, and are required to obtain certification through IAHCSMM upon completion of externship.

The CRCST training course is approximatly 4-6 months.

At this time we do not guarantee externships. However we’re working diligently to create relationships with local hospitals & our students, as we are committed to assisting our graduates with job placement. Soon we will offer externships on site by simulating all components of a sterile processing department by creating real scenarios with qualified washer disinfectants and sterilizers.
